I always cringe when reading "must-see" lists that only include the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Disneyland, Universal Studios and more. You've listed some great ideas! I'd also add Olvera Street, just near downtown L.A. Though it's become overrun with touristy souvenirs and kitschy booths, this is still the best place for authentic, mouth-watering Mexican food, and margaritas that pack a punch! Looks like the website is a bit spotty (http://www.olvera-street.com/html/olvera_street.html), but a visit to this "birthplace" of Los Angeles is definitely worth it! I have to add Watts tower for my future trip back to LA. We love the Griffith at night. Amazing view and a perfect place to watch the Sunset. My offbeat thing to do in LA is visiting Thai Town. It's not as big as China town or anything but you can get amazing food where Thai people go for their food and dessert. :) Ah!! I have to add Watts tower for my future trip back to LA.
