This website is a youngster in terms of the Internet, having been founded in its present state in December 2008. Starting from a love of photography, founder Andy Hayes wanted to create site which wasn’t like other typical travel websites. A site which explored the world of travel from the viewpoint of amazing experiences.

About Our Name

The title Sharing Travel Experiences is recognition that we’re not just another travel website. We’re a tight-knit community of people passionate about learning more about the world and exploring it, both from our armchairs and up close in person. We tell travel tales and we share travel experiences – the good and the bad. So grab a seat and get cosy: there’s plenty of room for everyone.

Our slogan, travel more means a couple of things to us:

  • travel more, as in more frequently
  • travel more, as in better. Find the local secrets, the real experience, the refreshing yet off-beat.
  • travel more, as in from your armchair. Be aware and learn about places when you’re not on the road.
