Hi Ready Mom, I actually never heard about skydiving in Israel, until I was there and talking to people about adventure sports. I get my ideas by reading everything I can about a given destination from all sources and then talking to tons of people once I'm there to search out the undiscovered or off-the-radar activities or venues.

Hi MarthaandMe, There are actually dozens of places I haven't been to but are on my list. I would also like to see Greenland and Mongolia. My motto holds true: so many places, so little time. Glad you like the tips I provided.

Hi Dave and Deb, That's so cool that you'll be in India. I was planning a trip there but it fell through. Hoping to do it sometime in 2010. And glad Bhutan is on your list, too. My friends also had concerns about Israel but I assured them not only was it safe, but it was perfect for adventure travel.

What amazing experiences (I never thought of skydiving through Israel). I'd love to hear more about how she finds these great off-the-beaten path destinations.

Wow, I love all of the destinations listed above and like Andy, our bucket list has just grown ten fold. Bhutan is a must see for us as well and right now we are starting our travels in India. We are hoping to make it to Bhutan during this trip. We will see how it goes.
Israel hasn't been high on our list before, but after reading about the recommendations above it has moved onto the "one day" list now. Especially the mountain biking in the desert.
