Love is in the air, and so are some fantastic travel articles from our friends and family in the global travel community.  Welcome to this month’s edition of the Monthly Travel Roundup.  (It’s not necessarily romantic articles, but hey – it’s February - so why not.)

We start off with a very appropriate entry this month: what makes skiing so great? The guy sat SkiSnowboarder make a convincing case for your next snowy weekend getaway.

Jay takes us on a photo tour of Sin City, including what I had to double-check: spiral escalators! Anything goes in Vegas it seems.

20 Something Travel is having a serious discussion over on her site about not knowing how things are going to turn out. I think she pretty much sums it up perfectly with this line:

Guffly wrote in this month to share some tips on some green getaways, such as vacation rentals and cruises. Check it out – it’s pretty interesting.
Amateur Travel Photos shared this lovely photo of a rainbow near Niagara Falls. Gorgeous shot!

Camping Earth suggests that next time you go camping, rough it a bit. A little discomfort never hurt anybody.
The Examiner suggests their top five Great American Drives. Checking out the photos on these, they all look awesome! Sign me up.

Wanderlust Journey shares some tips and experiences from their visit to Lake Tahoe. I went to Lake Tahoe many years ago and it was a wonderful experience – the bluest of blues I have *ever* seen, so it was nice to relive this experience in this story.
We round up this list with another list – My German City mentions that Germany now has 33 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. I was appaled to see I have only been to eight of them, and let me tell you I have been to Germany many times. Ugh – more stuff for the bucket list. :)  Though one of my favourites from the list is the historic town square in Bremen.
