Photographs from an Airplane Funeral

February 23, 2009by Andy Hayes

My pal Todd Lappin is a complete airplane/airline/airport fanatic. So it’s no surprise he has some of the best shots of America’s airplane graveyards found in California and Arizona. While yes, its a bit sad to see all that stuff just lying around, but these shots are just stunning! It’s kind of funny, they remind me of shots you might expect out of the plot in a Stephen King novel.

You can see the whole set on Todd’s Jet Set Ruins Flickr photostream.

Have you been to one of these airplane graveyards? If not, would you?
