Would are Nicolas, it is hard - but I have been to hundreds, and these are my personal favorites. Do you have others you would add to the list?

Dear Folks putting "Most Beautiful Wineries in the World" it's very challenging.

Yes, the landscape is pretty important but, you must know hundreds of them to choose !

One more vote for Fingerlakes from us -- spectacular lakeside setting -- we'll be back there for the annual Clan Club picnic in August :-)

(The photo of the Swiss vineyard is amazing though!)

The McGregor Winery is not only beautiful because of the views and tasty wine, but also because of the beautiful people who own and operate this facility. Bob and Marge, John and Stacey and the staff were very hospitable when we visited there last summer. Hope to make a return visit in the near future.

Hmmm, a Napa vineyard I haven't been to! I will have to remedy that when I go home next! Although Napa may not be your favorite wine region in the world - there are some amazing places tucked away like this all throughout wine country. Not sure if you have ever been to the Sierra foothills region east of Napa - they produce some great wines (especially old vine Zinfandels). I really miss living in Northern California wine country.

Another winery that might possibly take top billing for one of the most beautiful vineyards would be the Tahitian winery located on Rangiroa atoll. How could anyone not love a vineyard built on coral facing some of the most clear turquoise waters in French Polynesia? Sadly, we didn't get to visit the Vin de Tahiti grounds when we were there in January due to the four cyclones that hit. The wine was surprisingly good so I hope we make it back next year.

Taiwan also has wineries, which surprises many (myself included). Now that spring is here, hoping to head south and check out the winery grounds. One of the winemakers has produced some pretty decent wines so far.

Definitely some great picks on here - many regions I am yet to drink my way through. One of my favorite places in the world so far is the Alsatian wine trail - we went there after visiting the Rhine Valley, which definitely produces exceptional Rieslings.

Hi Andy,

I work for Nova Scotia Tourism and I'm also happy to see Gaspereau on your list. There are many beautiful vineyards in Nova Scotia. Now that you've mentioned it, I must try their maple wine. Sounds really sweet. Lots of ice wines made here too...if you like sweet. I'm with Lisa. Wouldn't it be amazing to tour all of those vineyards. Some of the back drops are just stunning.

Thanks for sharing. Here's a link to some wine tours if anyone is interested in coming to Nova Scotia.

Yeah! I am so happy to see two entries from Canada! Even if we haven't been to either of them. What we wouldn't do for a lovely glass of wine right now. India, Nepal and Sri Lanka are lacking a bit in the wine production and we have this romantic (unrealistic) notion of stopping in Italy on our way home to drink wine and eat great food. Lucky for us we are going to Europe in June, so we will make up for it. We loved visiting the wineries is South Africa, Germany and France, but we haven't visited the rest. That would be a fun tour to travel the world and drink wine. Ah to dream:-)

Sorry, Lisa - that happens a lot around here! Glad everyone enjoyed. And Dave, that's from Flickr but it doesn't look very different than the actual place.
